DIY Faux Coral Crafts For Home Decor

Summer is coming up quickly, but not to worry, there is still plenty of time to complete some seasonal DIY crafts before the warm weather and sunny afternoons pull your attention outside. Having some summer-themed decor is nice not only in the summer but also to remind us of warmer days when the snow flies once again. What is a better representation of summer than the beach? Sunshine, cool drinks, blue water, and building memories. We love to bring home seashells and bits of sea glass to fill up vases and jars with colorful mementos of our trips to the ocean. Every now and then we might even see a beautiful piece of coral washed up along our path. However, unlike shells and glass, gathering up coral is not suggested, even though it is so lovely.

This awesome Faux Coral project will allow you to make a beautiful “coral” display for your home while leaving the actual coral where it belongs. Using just some branches you find along your travels and some paint, you can make beautiful faux coral which will bring that beachy feel to your coffee table or bookshelf. Bonus if you already have some shells or small pebbles or shells you have saved from trips to the ocean you can add them to the base and make them a part of your display. If not, they are easy enough to find at your local craft store.
